Roofing/Cladding

Installation of roofing/cladding via Rope Access is fast becoming a ‘go-to’ solution for companies when traditional methodology becomes overly complex. Especially on high level and/or complex deigns such as curved roofs.

For example, when compared to building very large scaffold structures, that can be very costly, obstructive and time consuming to build, Rope Access can offer a viable alternative.

Rope Access for Roofing & Cladding Projects

Save time, money and obstruction

Rope access offers the perfect solution for roofing and cladding projects. This is particularly true for large or complicated structures that require installation or maintenance work. Safety is the number one priority when it comes to working at a height and statistically, rope access has been shown to be the safest way to carry out such work. Other benefits of this method, include:

  • Reduced project time
  • Less disruption to business and surrounding areas
  • Cost-effective
  • Faster set-up and takedown
  • Efficient for responsive work

When compared to the more traditional scaffold structures, which can be expensive, time-consuming and cause obstruction – rope access provides a no-nonsense effective solution. This method can be used for a range of roofing and cladding projects that include:

  • Installation
  • Inspection
  • Repairs/maintenance
  • Cleaning

No job is too big  or small

Rope access can be used to carry out large projects such as the installation of roofing/cladding as well as smaller more responsive works. Traditional scaffolding or mobile elevated platforms often fall short when it comes to working on large or complicated structures. Rope access allows our specialist team to work efficiently and safely, carrying out the relevant work without the need for complicated structures and major disruption. Rope access works especially well for smaller, responsive projects. The quick setup and take downtime is a major benefit. Works can be carried out quickly and efficiently with little to no obstruction to business.

Rope access is the perfect solution for any roofing/cladding project requirements but is especially useful for working on buildings that are situated within built-up areas, high rise/tall buildings or where a building has a complicated design – that would prove difficult to access with scaffolding alone.

If you’re looking to save money and time, rope access is the way to go! Talk to our team today.

Glazing

The glazing industry was a very early adopter of Rope Access considering its requirement to install at high level and often in built up city centre locations, especially in the remedial works market. Imagine if you had to change one pane of glass on a high-rise structure due to damage. Building a large scaffold or installing a mast climber would not be reasonably practicable.

#thinkaccess have carried out multiple projects for the glazing industry with the safety of those in proximity always paramount.

A practical glazing solution

Rope Access provides a practical and efficient solution to glazing installation, replacement and maintenance, particularly at height. The taller the building, the more difficult it becomes to perform even simple glazing tasks. Typically, high rise buildings are situated within built-up areas where there is significant footfall and rope access is the preferred method of carrying out glazing projects. Benefits include:

  • Cost-effective solution to projects big or small
  • Less disruption to your business and neighbours
  • Versatile
  • Reduced project time
  • Faster set-up and takedown
  • Safe and efficient

Safety first

We can provide experienced rope access technicians who are specially trained to perform a wide range of glazing tasks. Whether the access issue is due to height, location or safety. Our highly trained technicians are experienced working at a height and can easily negotiate their way around any building. With rigorous safety checks and plans in place, the technicians are able to carry out glazing works quickly and efficiently and with minimal disruption to your business or the surrounding areas. Glazing services that can be carried out include, but are not limited to:

  • Surveys and inspection reports
  • High-level glass replacement
  • Emergency glazing repairs
  • Regular maintenance and repairs
  • External glazing cleaning
  • Mastic replacement

The main objective for our rope access technicians is to ensure all works are completed in a controlled and safe environment. Our technicians are (qualifications/accreditations?) and are qualified to carry out glazing jobs both big and small.
