At Think Access Group, safety is not just a priority — it’s part of our identity. Whether we’re delivering high-level rope access solutions, managing facilities, or installing fall protection systems, we understand that emergency preparedness is critical. That’s why we’re proud to share two major updates that take our commitment to on-site safety even further.

Over the past month, we’ve successfully completed specialist first aid training for team members across our group companies and invested in new trauma response equipment that ensures we’re ready to act fast, wherever we’re working.

First Aid Trained: 10 More Employees Now Qualified

On 21st June 2025, ten employees from across Think Access Ltd, Think Worksafe Ltd, and Think 360 Services Ltd completed the ITC Level 3 Award in +F Emergency First Aid at Work, delivered by Remote Medical Response Ltd. The course was hosted at our Scunthorpe site and tailored specifically for high-risk working environments, including rope access, confined space, and construction activities.

This nationally accredited qualification covers:

  • Managing a casualty in a remote or industrial setting
  • Control of bleeding and traumatic injuries
  • Resuscitation and defibrillation
  • Shock and airway management
  • Scene safety, communication, and handovers to emergency services

We’re incredibly proud of our team’s commitment to developing lifesaving skills. A huge congratulations to everyone who passed — including Ben Drayton, pictured here with his certification.

“It’s not just about ticking a box,” said one of the course participants. “Knowing how to respond when every second counts is something that could make a real difference on site — for a colleague, a contractor, or even a member of the public.”

This training will be followed by a second course scheduled for July 2025, as we continue to roll out consistent medical training across our expanding workforce.

SOVO2 Vital Bleed Control Kits Now Deployed

To further support rapid emergency response, we’ve also invested in 20 new SOVO2 Vital bleed control trauma kits, now deployed across all Think Access Group sites, vehicles, and key project locations.

These compact, highly visible red-and-yellow pouches are designed for use in life-threatening situations where rapid control of severe bleeding is essential — especially during high-risk operations like:

  • Rope access and abseil works
  • Steel erection and glazing
  • Hot works or tool-intensive repairs
  • Confined space operations
  • Site or roadside incidents

Each SOVO2 kit contains essential trauma-response components such as:

  • Tourniquets
  • Haemostatic dressings
  • Chest seals
  • Trauma shears
  • Nitrile gloves and sterile bandages

Paired with our first aid training, these kits allow our team members to react swiftly and effectively — bridging the gap before emergency services arrive.

A Culture of Preparedness

We know that injuries can happen in the blink of an eye. That’s why we’re investing not just in training and gear, but in a company-wide culture of readiness.

Whether you’re on a suspended platform, up a wind turbine, inside a plant room, or managing access to a busy commercial building, we want every Think Access Group employee to feel confident that they have the knowledge, equipment, and support to respond to emergencies safely and effectively.

As an IRATA member company, our standards for work at height and rescue readiness are already high — and we’re proud to go beyond the minimum. We see initiatives like this as critical steps in our mission to keep our people safe, our clients protected, and our operations trusted industry-wide.

What’s Next?

Our next first aid course is just around the corner — and with new hires and apprentices joining the group, we’re continuing to embed safety leadership at every level.

Stay tuned for more updates as we expand our health and safety programs, roll out further trauma kits across new regions, and strengthen our emergency planning procedures for even greater site resilience.

Because when it comes to safety, there’s no such thing as “good enough.”
