At #think, we believe that health and safety goes beyond physical wellbeing—it encompass mental wellbeing too. We’re proud to share that our team is taking proactive steps to foster a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment for everyone.
As part of this commitment, we are pleased to announce that Tia Drayton has successfully completed her training as a certified Mental Health First Aider.
This training equips Tia with the knowledge and skills to recognise the signs of mental health issues, offer initial support, and guide individuals toward appropriate professional help if needed. Mental Health First Aiders are not therapists, but they are vital first points of contact—much like physical first aiders—in times of need.
Why This Matters
Mental health affects how we think, feel, and act, and it plays a vital role in how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Whether dealing with personal challenges or workplace pressures, having someone to talk to can make all the difference.
By investing in mental health awareness and support training, we aim to:
-
Reduce stigma around mental health in the workplace.
-
Foster a culture of openness and empathy.
-
Equip our team with the tools to look out for each other.
What This Means for Our Team
Tia’s role as a Mental Health First Aider is an important step in ensuring that our workplace is not only productive but also compassionate. She is available as a point of contact for anyone in the team who might be struggling, needs someone to listen, or is unsure where to turn.
Her certification also signals our broader strategy to embed mental wellbeing into the core of our values—from regular mental health training opportunities to open conversations and ongoing support initiatives.
Looking Ahead
This is just the beginning. We’re committed to continuing our investment in mental health education, resources, and training. Because when our people feel supported, we all grow stronger together.
If you’d like to learn more about our approach to health and wellbeing in the workplace, or how Mental Health First Aid can help your team, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Together, let’s create a workplace where it’s okay not to be okay—and where no one has to face it alone.
